There are different types of sweet potato. Raw sweet potato contains 359 kilojoules per 100g (101 cals per oz) and cooked sweet potato contains 435 kilojoules per 100g (123 cals per oz), for example. A normal value is 405.333 kilojoules per 100g (114 cals per oz) (e.g. for canned sweet potato) This makes it more fattening than the majority of vegetable or vegetable-based food.
